Thanks to the support of the Jewish Museum of Venice, IKONA Photo Gallery presents a small but precious photographic exhibition curated by Živa Kraus dedicated to the history and future of the Venice Ghetto. The first ghetto in history, established at the behest of the Doge in 1516, the Jewish Ghetto has become over the centuries an increasingly populated and stratified urban space, an island within an island in the Cannaregio District, many and terrible storms have hit its inhabitants, but its heart continues to beat towards a new tomorrow.
