The exhibition curated by Chiara Bertola Bacci. The Energy of Light concentrates on deepening the more poetic side of Edmondo Bacci's work, corresponding to the most international moment of his career, when in the Fifties he was noticed by Peggy Guggenheim and the generative power of colour, together with the breaking of spatial planes and the rhythmic circularity of the brushstroke, finally made the originality of his work evident to all international critics. Through around 80 works, including unpublished paintings and drawings, many of which have never been exhibited before, from the Edmondo Bacci Archive, private collections and international museums, such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Art Museum in Palm Springs, the the exhibition is part of the exhibition program of the Museum which, for some time, alongside exhibitions of international scope, has hosted projects dedicated to the protagonists of the national art scene after the Second World War, such as Lucio Fontana, Giuseppe Capogrossi, Tancredi Parmeggiani, Osvaldo Licini, and today Bacci .
